Maintenance Contracts

Many of our customers are already enjoying the benefits of having a technician visit their shop on a regular basis. Our periodic maintenance contract can minimize downtime and help you get maximum production by keeping your equipment in top condition and your operators up to speed on what they need to be doing EVERY DAY.

Periodic Maintenance Program (PMP)

SewTech International, Inc. will perform the following checks and adjustments on your equipment annually.

  • Needle depth individually per needle
  • Inspect reciprocators for wear
  • Set pressure foot height
  • Set hook timing, inspect for wear, and polish as needed
  • Set needle to hook ratio
  • Set Needle plate clearance
  • Set needle upper stop individually per needle
  • Check and Lubricate Color change mechanism
  • Inspect and clean tension assemblies
  • Inspect and adjust thread break indicators
  • Check and adjust thread trimming knives
  • Check and adjust thread retaining devices
  • Check and adjust gear play throughout machine
  • Grease gear boxes
  • Check and adjust to spec all axis drive belts/cables
  • Perform voltage test as necessary
  • Clean electronics cabinet filters
  • Check for wear throughout machine and advise accordingly
  • Train in proper care of machine
  • All parts are the responsibility of the customer, and are not included in the cost of the PMP. We will make every effort to have commonly replaced parts on hand, but cannot guarantee availability.

    Customer Requirements:

    Customer must provide the following at every inspection to help us keep your cost down.

  • New needles, one each, to be installed by tech
  • Thread must be installed on every needle position prior to inspection. If technician must thread machine, additional time will be charged
  • Test patches hooped and ready for sew test
  • One person must be designated as our key contact. This person must be available for proper training during inspection. This contact will learn basic mechanical adjustments in order to assist us over the phone during crisis
  • Scheduling:

    Work will be performed Monday through Friday on a regularly scheduled basis only. A schedule for the performance of service will be agreed upon for the year. We will call 7 to 10 days in advance to confirm. Three working days notice is required to postpone scheduled maintenance except in the case of immediate family emergency.

    Customer agrees to make the equipment available for maintenance as scheduled. Waiting time in excess of 20 minutes will be billed at the applicable rates.

    PMP Plus

    PMP Plus allows you to pre-pay for emergency visits throughout the year. These pre-paid visits will roll over every year when not used as long as you purchase the PMP for the current year. As a PMP Plus subscriber you will receive:
